Kokeshi, Japanese handcrafted dolls made of wood and painted entirely by hand that make it a true work of art.

Belonging to the Showa period (1926-1989) and

from the mountainous region of Tohoku.

Initially, Sosaku Kokeshi dolls were simple children's toys, but later they became real decorative and collector's items by virtue of the paintings and poems on each of them.
